Painstakingly restored, antique splendor radiates from this imposing bastion.  The sun bleaches the stone turrets and as you walk along these silent soldiers, you marvel at the the arabesques of a carved stone balcony. Inside, the red carpet has been lain. Stoic suits of armor watch over you as you ascend the the noble staircase. In your suite, damask drapes and hardwood floors continue to enhance the noble atmosphere. The Venetian decor, with refined stuccoes and plumb balconies only add to the authenticity of this magnificent castle.

Anywhere from 10 to 1000 guests can attend a reception celebration at this venue, making any sized wedding an elegant and perfectly proportioned affair. Outdoor terraces overlook the sepia-roofed village and sapphire lake. Inside, voluminous banquet halls recreate the conviviality of medieval banquets, while the 18^th century restaurant sweeps you away with its classical grace. Pastoral paintings of leisurely court life and portraits of nobles from times past lend a touch of refinement to the atmosphere. Silver candelabras decorate each table, filling the room with a magical glow.

Activities

Visitors can plunge into the history of this ancient fortress with guided tours of the site's museum and church. Near the lower cable car station, a shop offers local handicrafts, artwork, and furniture, as well as more transportable souvenirs like fashionable bags and clothes. For those who like to be pampered, the venue offers an impressive spa and beauty center offering services such as Ayurvedic massages, Turkish baths, and Finnish saunas. Accommodation

80 courtly rooms welcome you and your guests in grand style. Three different stay possibilities are offered: 50 rooms in the castle itself, 16 in the dependence, and 14 in the Villa Marcello Marinelli. The hilltop castle rooms look down on those of the dependence and villa, cradled by the village of Cison. A cable car, to which guests have free, unlimited access links the village and the castle. Rooms include deluxe rooms, historically decorated junior and royal suites, and multi-bedroomed apartments.

Enchantment

The castle hotel owns and operates its own cable car, that as it is pulled up the steep hill side, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
